David Philpot began experimenting with assemblages of found objects many years ago, while decorating a staff.
He was asked to make a cow for the Chicago Cows On Parade arts campaign and realized that it was a matter of scale;
that his extraordinary mosaic art could be applied to large forms.
Since being lauded as one of the best of the “Cow” show,
he has embellished objects as varied as ping-pong paddles to life-sized, fiberglass furnishings
